Awsome find
| How is everything going in the states guys? We made a great discovery today. In between a set of human remains we found a giant stone idol which dates back to around 6000 years ago. Too bad it was not made gold and carved into a monkey for that matter (that joke was for my brother and Mark). The director Rui said that it is the first one he has ever uncovered and hes been digging up burial mounds in Portugal for years. He was really excited and so was I. I am learning a tremendous amount over here and hopefully I might be able to lead one of my own digs one day. Maybe. I posted three pictures this time two are from a moorish castle we went to this weekend and the third is me standing at the western most edge of Eastern Europe. It was cool because I was closer to Jill than I have been in a week and a half but I was also sad becasue I amd still 3000+ miles away from her. Oh well I guess I will get back to the flat and get some rest. I hope to post again in a few days. Buenos Notes. |

man, that is very awesome! and, yeah, too bad it was a golden monkey. just out of curiosity, are you walking around with a bag of sand just in case you need to make that swap? if you are, i'd say watch where you step and watch for falling rocks!
do you guys get to take pictures of what you uncover? do you have any photos of the artifacts? those would be cool to see too.
